Summary:
After her Labyrinth adventure, Sarah's life has become a sad shadow of its former self. She knows that choosing her baby brother's life over her own with Jareth was the right thing to do, but the aftermath of reneging upon her childhood dreams sits heavily upon her soul. Sarah's dreams are haunted by memories of her time in Jareth's world. When a mysterious spellbook shows up on her bookshelf, she wonders if her old friends are trying to contact her. As her father lays dying of cancer, Sarah wonders how much of the Labyrinth came from her head. But as someone once said, anything is possible . . .

Sarah's existence after the Labyrinth seems hollow and gray. She's twenty-two and has chosen community college after flunking out of high school and fulfilling her diploma with a G.E.D. Her father, sick with cancer, and her stepmother Irene are divorcing. Sarah attracts the attention of her neighbor, Seth, in one of her classes.

Dreams and Realities: In reality, Sarah trudges through her community college existence as her wannabe boyfriend Seth clings to her side. In dreams, she implores Jareth to forgive her for choosing not to be his Queen during their time in the Labyrinth.
